I think you might be onto something with the dehydration... I did notice last weekend that my entire liquid consumption was made up of beer and coffee!
I have gone off coffee now and addicted to hot chocolate. I may have a glass of beer with my lunch but I think my total fluid intake for the day is only about 3 or 4 pints. When camping I may have more beer - lol.
I'm just back from Bank Holiday weekend camping and I noticed a general dehydration including dry hands - I lived on coffee and beer too and not my usual water consumption. When I was packing up I had a weather window and rushed the whole job literally throwing a damp tent into the car seconds before a downpour, so I was working quite hard too.
Yep me too. We are just back from a three night back holiday camp and both my youngest daughter and I have rough and cracked hands. I often have to stay away for work and when I stay in one of the big chain hotels I find my skin get rough and cracked. I think I'll take my aqueous cream next time we camp.
------------- I own a caravan, that makes me a grown up, right?
Mine are like that all the time and I put it down to old age and being chief washer upper and then discovered The one that is kind to you hands was the worst. As I cannot wear cloths washed in Fairy soap powder or liquid my OH has to use Surf or Daz for the Laundry the tabs.which you put in the machine with the clothes.
All cleansing substances have a certain amount of caustic soda in I wonder wether some have more than others which removes the natural oil out of your skin?????.
So glad I am not the only one who suffers. I've done a fair amount of DIY this weekend and my hands are completely ruined again having only just got over last weekend!
