Just been chased out of my local Toyota dealership by an irate salesman wielding a rolled-up brochure!! I only asked to test drive the latest land-cruiser..he seemed happy enough to arrange this..until I explained I would be wanting to book from 25/08/17 until 29/08/17. What did I say wrong? Cant understand it! Grumpy old g*t. Will be trying the local Range-rover dealer tomorrow..Pah!

Ha, Ha! Don't ask me, as I didn't even ask... it was offered, quite out of the blue!!
Last Tues tea time...
"Have you got your licence on you?"
"Yes."
"Why don't you take it now for a try out... keep it a couple of days if you want?"
"To be honest, it will spend most of the time in the car park at work. I'd rather have it over a weekend, so we can both (Muckerette was with me) see if we like it"
"No problem. Oh, I remember you said you were into camping... Wait until I get back from my hols on Tues 11th, then you can have it Thursday 13th until Monday 17th, then you can go away in it to see if you can get all your gear in... Shall I book it now for you?".
"These biscuits are really nice... gorrany more?"
Don't know if it's different with commercial? (It will be a new company car on contract lease... if it suits!
Due to work and long set up required, I can't just pack up and go for a short break less than a week.
However, with the new job, I can go home on Fridays via a route that would take me through Bath so that I could pop into my favourite cocktail bar for a quick visit to start the weekend.

Just got back from the third of the four trips mentioned in my OP. Took loads of pics, so may do a very long and very boring trip report later in the week (after I've submitted my site review!).
The Toyota thing didn't materialise, as they double booked, and couldn't guarantee collection before Friday lunchtime. I was reluctant to hang about, as I would then have had to get home, take out the back 3 seats, load up, then hit all the Friday PM traffic for a 2.5 hour trip (traffic permitting!) I've re-arranged the toyota for next weekend now, but won't be camping in it. Not too fussed, as it's bigger than what we have now, so no worries about fitting the gear in.
Other than that, we've had yet another great weekend, and I do believe that not only have we achieved a personal best, but may well be an all time UKCS members record.... three consecutive trips with both a dry set up AND dry pack up!!
Whoohooo!!
Next one in a fortnight, for 3 nights, for Muckerette's birthday... watch it pi55 it down!!
Probably get evacuated from a flooded site again, as we did 4 years ago!! Bloody British summers!
Well done with the weather, and fingers crossed for dry weather for Muckerette's birthday trip!
