We are returning to camping too and are busy replacing all our gear. We used to have a fiat punto and a roofbox and managed to get everything (including our son) in . We had a De Waard albatros so the tent took up quite some space but with a planning it's surprising how much gear you can get in a small car! We now have a car that's a little larger and a smaller De waard and our son is all grown up and isn't coming so loading the car should be easier right? So John, get a roofbox, make a list and stick to it or you may have to leave the kids at home 😁

We just returned to camping the weekend just gone after a 4 year break due to the kids (18 & 9) not liking it.
Well they both (22 & 13) loved it so we are now well and truly back into the spirit of camping :)
Oh the outdoor life, the fried breakfasts, the barbecues, the sunny days.....
And the rain, muddy pitches, soggy canvas, wind, thunderstorms and mud? Ohhh thunderstorms under canvas, now that's special.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
