Our garden is mostly car port and slate chips. Could use my sister's but that would mean 'unnecessary travel' even if it is only a few miles away. Sx

We upgraded our camping kit back in 2008, as we had moved away from tent camping for a while and had been hiring statics in France, and now it was just the two of us, it was an interesting step change for us, me 48 at the Mrs Francais 47 at the time.

Well the last 12 years have flown buy, and most years we have been over to France in July, and spent three weeks there, a fortnight or more of that on the main campsite either down in Frejus or The Ardeche.

Now at the start of my 60”s I am still looking forward to my next tent camping trip, which will be June 2021.

As for EHU, most are 10amp, but come with 2.5mm Artic cable, so changing the MCB from 10amp to 16amp is a doddle.

I have done a couple of posts for EHU’s     “EHU Modification” and “EHU Amp Meter” although the amp meter one appears to have been removed.

As per Oldham, tent on slate = hardstanding (though my tent will not be going on it).

Could you cook as per camping using a 2 burner hob and cooking simple foods? Do you have a tarpaulin? This could be used as a shelter. Don't forget to wear flip flops/crocs and don't rush or hurry as per on a campsite.
