The Berlingo is a nice boxy shape and would lend itself to that. Those sort of conversions are so ingenious! Sadly I no longer have the budget for that sort of thing.

You don't need to convert - it can be as simple as putting an airbed in the back. I have a Vauxhall Combo Life which is basically the same as the Berlingo/Peugeot Rifter. Boot jumps start from about £500 https://www.simplecampervans.com/shop/conversion-modules/citroen-berlingo-camper-v........

At the moment I have a Vauxhall Corsa, but in the past I did have an Astra estate for a while, in which I slept a couple of times during camping trips when the weather was rough; I'm 5'2" so that worked okay. Now I think I'm just past all the clambering about and need my creature comforts! Thanks for the links though - a girl can dream...!
