Camping gaz for me.  Use it for the 3 way fridge and 3 ring cooker and use a battery powered lantern for the tent.  I have also got the coleman black cat heater.

I feel it gives complete freedom of choice of places to go.

2 weeks in the Vendee in 22 days time,  Come on !!

We have a 3 & 5 year old, never had problems with gaz or petrol, we always take a 907 cylinder for the stove and run a coleman dual fuel lantern for light. We've never felt the need for a heater, although the lantern gives off a lot of heat. We haven't got a fridge, the cool box is adequate.

We have just come back from Kerry in Ireland and the campsite was fantastic but we noticed that when we asked for EHU we were place among RVs and "Tin Tents" and it just wasn't as good. I think that you restrict yourself too much by relying in EHU in the summer; at other times you can understand because of cold nights etc, but I think you have a better choice without the reliance on the old sparking machine.

I would use both. You can get a 2 hob electric cooker for just a few pounds, and you can save a fortune is gas. If you have paid for ehu then you may as well use it.
