Hiha, we bought the xxl lat week for 435 so you got a good deal, we put it up in the garden before the bank holiday to try and that was straight forward. We went to devon this weekend (glorious weather) and had the tent up in less than an hour. We did have wind a few night and the tent felt safe and snug, it did have a slight draught from the windows but it's a tent and was very windy. With 3 kids to occupy the living area was great, the bedrooms were plenty big enough for double airbeds, toys and clothes, loads of windows and a very light tent. it packed away easier 2nd time around and we put a sheet down first and placed the tent on top of that to stop the mub, the dew just needed wiping off while we rolled it up then. To fold it we laid it out flat, got the air out, folded the side bedrooms 1st, then the back and then the front, folded it again in half and then into 3rd, rolled it up, squeezed the air out (sat on it) and it went into the bag easily enough (phhehhhh sounds easy). It didn't rain so will have to wait until next year for the leak test. a great tent !!!
Hi gang, got home from work today & there it is.will be pitching it at my folks house as theyve got a big garden, cant wait (big kid arent I).Ive got another question only a novice would ask.I know this will depend on how much stuff you take, but,on average how much space do you need to pack?Ive got an astra estate & will get a roof box too,is this enough?(there will be me the misses,2 kids 8 & 6)
hiya, we have a mondeo estate and also take the trailer, we can't see out of the back windows, 3 kids in the back, tent and poles are VERY heavy, 3 bikes and everyones pillows, never enough room really. Although I popped into decathalon today and saw inflatable pillows, everyone can have those next camping trip (except me). I also bought those reusable bags from sainsburys and everyoine has one of those for clothes, what they can't fit in after that, they don't take. hmmm also a kettle and toaster, pots, pans, cooker, stand, 5 chairs, halogen heater (a must and this stays on all night), sleeping bags, air beds and anything else i can fit in. and thats all for the weekend!!!!!
yes you need a trailor craig, roof box, double decker bus etc etc
We have now had our nebraska xxl replaced, took it back to yeomans they sent it away to be checked and they sent us back a new one to replace it! Have yet to try the new one out but hopefully its one of the good ones!!! Fingers crossed!
just pitched the nebraska xxl for 1st time this afternoon at my parents house.it was blowing a gale so I thought if I can pitch it in this I can pitch it anytime.Took about 1& half hours.if we'd known those little mettle pins push into the poles it would have been so much easier, but we got there in the end.then the heavens oponed up,then I went over it with hosepipe.checked all round the bedrooms & everywhere,no leaks!chuffed to bits.cant wait to go now, pity the instructions are so crap.
Hi, you got a good deal we paid 449 for ours from Caseys Camping in July. Been speaking to them this morning as ours is a leaker. Just waiting for a reply.
We purchased the Nebraska XXL we was very impressed with the tent, was a bit fidly putting it up for the first time, we didnt have chance to try it at home a couple of times the first time we used it was on site took roughly about 50 mins to erect the tent. If anybody likes a drop of cider can reccomend brandy wharfe cider farm we had a great weekend. i paid about £420.00 for the tent.
originally we was buying an ex demo one from yoemans show but unfortunatley some sh*t had slashed the tent so they had to give me a brand new one instead of the demo. so in the end it worked out quite well, if anybody can recoomend some good camp sites please let me know need somewhere we can go fishing and cycling
We have the XXL and have spent 20 nights in it this year. Our first had a few minor faults and was exchanged, the 2nd leaked like a sieve and was exchanged again, the third is perfect and we are keeping it as it is such a fabulous tent, it is well worth persevering with.
The amount of space inside the XXXL is amazing and it is such a sturdy tent I have no fears about winds/gales. I cannot praise it enough.
