We took the tubular type last time and they were gawd-awfully uncomfortable!!! The bar in the seat front catches your thighs. Will definitely take our aluminium pack-away jobs next time. Also use picnic blankets so no danger of damaging the groundsheet. If you are worried - how about those little plastic cups you use to put under furniture to protect your carpet???

We also have sig....peakland stanedge....never had any problems but just in case we also use spare groundsheet over the whole lounge area....then a rug or two on the top for cosyness....it also keeps the sig clean and mud free inside so easier to pack up.....

what about sharp stones which are just under the soil surface pushing thru the groundsheet under the chair's feet?

just spent 8 days in our suncamp tourisy 12xp with SIG , used six of the chairs you mention inside most of the time had no problems at all
