Equipment is dreadful... went to the NEC with a big shopping list about a year ago.... and quite a lot of money in my pocket eager to buy. The only people there really were towsure and as the whole point was a wanted to shop around I ended up not spending a penny.
Surely to goodness it would help the whole show if the organisers could encourage more small outlets in there... It is a pity they cannot offer a different rate for smaller dealers so we got more variety.
Rant over... Anybody from the NEC (or similar) out there like to put their point of view?
I camped nearby for the Outdoor show this year and cycled in and I will probably do the same next year. It covers a wide range of activities such as canoeing, bouldering, camping, diving etc, so there isn't that much space devoted to any one thing. I think it's a nice day out, but I did get free tickets from ottokars (?) bookshop.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
