LOL neither had I, I wasn't brave enough to ask though and had to work it out LOL
Any way you could always try living in a tent but I would make sure you have a back up plan, or you could always buy a caravan and get someone to tow it for you to a site.
I doubt that you'd be able to transport a tent AND all the equipment you'd need on a motorcycle anyway. You'd need ground sheet, beds, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, cooker & kitchen unit, kettle & pans, crockery & cutlery, heater & gas bottle, table & comfy chairs, clothes & shoes, etc. etc.
Therefore I'd second Wondermummys' idea of buying an old caravan & get a parent, relative or friend to tow it to the site of your choice. It will be more comfortable & will cost you less in calor gas as a caravan will hold the heat better than a tent during the winter months.

Where are you planning on setting up home (pitching this tent), as not many (if any) site owners would let you stay for that sort of time, what about poll tax, work, bank accounts, etc, etc......
You would be better off getting a job with accomodation BEFORE you head south, forget this idea of living in a tent for any length of time, in a different climate maybe, not in England.
Also, you would be classed as homeless, that means that you would find it almost impossible to find work or get any state benefits should you either fail to find work or fall out of work.
I think you lot maybe right you know, I might have to come up with another plan!!! I currently work and am living with my parents but me and my girlfriend want our own privacy but dont want to spend out money renting as we are saving to buy our own place down south.
