My view on the provided seam sealer for tents is that if I have one or possibly 2 slight leaks then I think it is reasonable to try the seam sealer before thinking about returning the tent. However, my current Monty 12 has a long length of seam that oozes water along its entire length as well as the leaks on every pole sleeve and 2 leaking door zips. In addition there are numerous leaks on other seams. I do not think it is reasonable to expect the cutomer to seam seal the whole lot on a brand new tent, particularly when it is so enormous.

Unless you take into account the number of leaky tents that they are selling!   If their customer service is that good it might be better that they find different brands to sell....

I've read of more problems with leaking Outwells than leaking Rage tents.....

Hang around a bit longer then - the Tentastic story has been around for a while and shows no sign of going away!

I reckon a target of 50,000 budget priced tents sold in 2007 will have it's comebacks.

Out of interest, how many do Outwell and all the other 'big' names sell a year? Any idea of the market size in total?

problem with that is you never hear from those who`s tents don`t leak, so in the big picture its very small number out of thousands.

ps: how many have claimed leaking tents and it`s turned out to be condensation which can drip and flood the floor   specially this tpye of weather.
