Undoubtedly, campers are a very fine, decent group of people, coming from all walks of life, but united in a common passion that is Camping.

Do not let isolated incidents put you off future camping trips.  Indeed, they would remain isolated and unknown if it were not for this website which allows folk to share their experiences with other like-minded people, be it good or bad.

It hasnt put me off of camping, but obviously being a lone woman camping with 2 teenagers it made me realise I am  vunerable if that makes sense? I'm not easily intimidated, you know how it is, you sit there thinking what if ? Unfortunately I work with enough crim dam and violence in my Job just expect to be able to get away from it lol.

I'd be hopping mad too.  Fortunately we have only had good experiences both here and in France but I'd hate to have the same thing done to our gear.

Hope you manage to claim on the insurance.

So sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. I hope others will agree that this is a very unusual occurence. I have not heard of it before.

Be brave and do not let it ruin your chances of future holidays under canvas.
