will show this to my OH, trying to persuade him to let me have another tent, ours is getting quite old now, poles have been splitting and zips starting to go...
Shhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone but I went out for the like of a cheapo Argos / Tesco / Halfords 3 man dome. Talking about £20 for the garden. Thought I'd swing by PJ Camping and came back with a Vango Sigma It's a better quality garden tent It's pretty.
I cannot see why not.A tent is a tent, but,to stay in a better tent is simply better. If you are not happy camping in the tent you have now, then you will have a basic unhappy camping time.I would buy a better tent myself.

NO NO NO NO - you DON'T need another tent..........
you need at least 4 or 5!!!
We have a Cabanon Mistral TT, Khyam Ontario 8, a flowery 2 man, a 3 man and the Licata 400 (which I have "forgotten" to tell hubby about!) Plus a canvas drive away awning (does that count?!) Currently looking at utility tents and I am being constantly drawn to frame tents!
Whatever would you want another tent for - surely one is enough - you can only sleep in one at a time

................... well, that's what everyone keeps telling me
What you REALLY need is a tent for every conceivable occasion - one night, 2 nights, a long weekend, a week, 2 weeks and double up for those that are fine weather tents and those that will stand up to everythng the elements throws at them. Also canvas suits some purposes, polyester others........................... get my drift????? Then you'll need a kitchen tent, toilet tent, day tent..............your OH will be glad you only want ONE more once he's read all these threads!!

I still have my original starter tent bought about 4 years ago and a bit reluctant to get rid of it, just in case, you know, as something might happen.
I upgraded last year (twice as the first upgrade was destroyed in bad weather at a bad campsite).
My new addition is so much bigger than my starter tent and provides me with the luxuries of being able to stand up and space, lots of space.
However, I'm contemplating a pop up tent for a one night stay and just weighing up my options and looking at the all alternatives.
