Plus lets face it once he reaches 22 and has a couple of sherbets whilst camping there's going to be less chance of him sitting on a wardrobe............if you see what I mean!
Done that my self once! (but it wasnt camping)Many many moons ago! Only realised when I woke myself up trying to find my way out of the wardobe!!!!!! NEVER been in that PARTICULAR state again. The hangover was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best keep off the baked beans
In our pacific it stays in the main area in the corner and also in the corner of the larger bedrromed tents so we dont have to unzip to get at it. OH sits down too!!
Mumshadenough, that looks a nice place in your pic, would you mind telling me where it is please?
we use our in the rear porch area but it used to be on one of the spare bedroom pods, we always have a washable rug on the floor and make the boys sit down or kneel so they dont 'miss' ( hopefully) we then wash the rug when we get home that way if there are any small accidents its not on the tent material.

Hi Helen
It's the c&cc site in Minehead, it's right up on the hill and you can see the bay over the hedge we were by. If you want ehu, you go up the top of the site, but we went basic so can pitch pretty much anywhere....
I must admit though, the site is quite slopey. so if you are going, make sure it's when it's quiet!
I went to Camping and General today and purchased the Outdoor Revolution double outhouse for £34.99!!!! (pretty good bargain as far as i know)
I have decided to try and use this as a toilet/ dirty laundry /shoe store and include a stand for some hand wipes/sanitizer and place it directly outside the back door of the Prism (thus avoiding the wet??!!) and see how we get on....
If it doesn't work out then i will try a different option next time. Bearing in mind that when we go weekend camping (without the day room) the Outhouse will come in handy as a kitchen tent, so I don't think I will have wasted money on it....
Had a trial run on pitching today and seems a pretty decent bit of kit. got the version with the groundsheet also so pretty chuffed.
Only thing is.........I forgot to mention..........
We are only gonna be 2 pitches away from the loo's!!!!!
I know it seems a lot of hassle for nothing but i am thinking long-term and want to use next week as a sort of test run as we have never used one before, hopefully it means we can stay a bit further out (away from the facilities) in future and have a bit more privacy??
I think its more than worth it Andy to get the little one used to it, if this is how you want your set up to be in future it means it becomes as predictable as possible as quickly as possible and he knows what to expect. I'm sure it will be absolutely fine and a great addition to your set up. Good price too - you bargain hunter you !
It's that, "Why did I have that extra glass of wine?" feeling at 2.30am, and that can I hold it in until daylight jiggle followed by the oh blast 3.15am tramp over wet grass in the dark to the loo block that makes camping, well... camping.
i agree if your not in a 28 acre site with only 2 cubicles! if you go to redsquirrel or some other sites you need a toilet just simply because you are too far away from the facilities. Some sites don't even have toilet blocks!
