I'm another avid reader of site reviews. I find it so useful and although we have not been camping long we have gone to nice sites because of the time taken trawling through reviews. My priorities are in order -
1. Clean and modern toilet facilities,
2. EHU (for life's little luxuries)
3. easy access to site and on site for getting onto pitches,
4. noise and behavior control,
5. Not too far from coast (love the sea),
6. Shop, (early morning papers, croissants and milk)
from your list ours would be
1
5
4
6
The reviews are great but the moment we see a bad one it tends to put us off and sometimes I wonder if we are missing out on good locations just because of one or two bad reviews!

Is it just me, or does anyone else spend ages on this site, looking for a site and then reading all the reviews? Once you find one that sounds ideal, you contact them , only to find they are booked up and it's back to the drawing board. Also, the fact that you want EHU doesn't help, how far in advance do you book these? It seems it's quite easy to get non EHU, maybe thats the way forward!!
This happened to us today. can't get on hartsholme at lincoln next weekend. Fully booked because of a nearby air show.

I always read the reviews and any that say they wont except reviews are ignored immediately. i also have the school hols printed off so only ever go in when the kids are in school, second never go where there is a clubhouse/pub on site, Always try for one which has a quiet after 10:30 regime.
I have been lucky most of the time and had some great camsites, most recent been at fowey and watermouth bay this year. There are some really excellent site out there if you serch for them
