Bronco, are you going to take that pup on its first camping trip this weekend?
I'm still planning to go to Cumbria tomorrow (Sunday) although the weather forecast up there looks iffier as the week moves into Monday and Tuesday - sod's law because it is lovely here this morning with bright sun under a clear sky and not too cold.
I expect I'll have a good time even if it rains but everything's so much easier when the weather stays dry.
Well I really wanted to get away this weekend, probably up to the Lakes, but I've stayed at home in favour of going to a family 40th anniversary 'do' tonight, as it might look bad if I don't turn up. Wouldn't be so bad if it was p***ing down but we have wall to wall sunshine and blue sky so I really feel like I'm wasting a weekend.

Yes! Pup came with us and it was nightmare!!! When we arrived she jumped out of the car before we could grab her and we were warmwed up greatley trying to catch her!! She was the reason for this weekends trip. We figured it would be quiet. It turned out to be busy but not bad despite the cold. Millie Bob has ahd her first taste of the great outdoors, and she likes it..

Off to Durham on Fri taking DD back to Uni hoping to stay at Strawberry Hill Farm Fri, Sat night. Stayed there when i collected her in June. Lovely place and people.

Update.
My wife and I did go away as planned, despite the bad weather forecast.
My first choice of site, didn't have sufficient cover from the wind to my belief. So a more exclusive (and more costly) site was chosen.
Despite rain and wind each day, the tent performed admirably in keeping us dry, and staying put.
Sadly, I've not got any images. We took a camera, but forgot to take it with us when we went out.
Packing up the wet tent on Monday morning did not feel comfortable. It seemed to weigh about 2 kg more.
We got home in time to erect it in the garden to dry out.
Today it rained again, tomorrow heavy rain is forecast, so Thursday is the only day I have to pack it dry.
We're not finished tenting for this year, but certainly not when frost and snow set in.
