Fantastic SC, thank you! Love the view from your tent - in fact if you'd had binoculars you may have seen the house we lived in 15 years ago, at Hest Bank, Morecambe. Although our view would have been far better! I really miss waking to the view of Morecambe Bay with the Lake District hills in the background. I've also come a cropper up Hardknott Pass - I remember trying to drive home via the pass one winters evening in a Renault 5 and had to turn round and go the long way round because of ice.
We have been talking about revisiting the area for some time - seeing those pics of the Langdales makes that imperative now!

langdale Valley is in my heart, love the place, the campsite is wonderful clean and has a well stocked shop and three world class pubs within easy walking distance, we have camped there in all weather conditions and once over New year, Marvellous, the walking is fab, you can do low/mid/ligh level circular walks around the Valley, well worth your time to go visit
