Ah, back in about 1994, camping with hubby in the Yorkshire Dales in bad weather - its the middle of the night and my arm slips off the airbed and splashes into the two inches of water that was sloshing about in the tent.
Fast forward to the first May bank holiday of 2004. Two kids by then aged 3 and 5 and we were camping on the Yorkshire coast on our first every family camping trip. Cheap Argos tent, cheap sleeping bags and the bare minimum of stuff. Temperatures down to -1. It was to be the start of some great adventures.
Strangely enough the kids are now 14 and 16 and still lovely camping, although we have upgraded to a folding camper. So many happy memories along the way!
