I have lent my old tent to my best friend as I'd moved on to canvas and it didn't matter if it didn't make it back, but it was fine and it got her into camping which is great for me, but I'd never lend my canvas tents out, not even to family, they all know how mad I am about my tents anyway, so not a problem.
I also recently lent my Icey Tek to my son for Glastonbury, but on the strict instructions if anything happened to it he'd have to buy me a new one, it came back ok though 😃
