It was like sleeping in a cabin on a boat last night, with the van swaying side to side due to the wind, and it was not that windy!
Glad that I was not in a tent as it rained heavily too.

I went carcamping on a site for the first time, normally I find a place and park up or in my tent. I used car and canopy combo worked well, I shall do that again. Had a bit of luxury of EHU and the use of my radiator for warmth. Had the privilege of Arwen, gusts are not unusual for North Wales.
Appropriate clothing and sleeping combo essential for winter camping.
Merino wool or similar is very warm, as a base layer, staying warm, having food before bed, acts as a burner for warmth. I end up too hot, which is great waking up in a frost stiffened flysheet, glorious sunshine in the Lake District, wild camping.
