Oh im jealous of all you badger spotting, mouse hunting campers. Other than birds I've never had any wildlife up close let alone IN the tent. Im quite miffed now! haha

I've always left my tent in our shed- until we found mice in there! They've ruined this little beach shelter we've got, and luckily didn't touch the Minnesota. I'd be more worried about them at home.

On another note, I saw a snake when I was walking my dog yesterday- imagine finding one of those in your tent

I've never seen any mice / rats whilst camping either but as a Guide I remember being invaded, literally, by squirrels one summer camp in the New Forest.  They took anything they could carry, even down to my (then) expensive rechargable batteries for my walkman! (very 80's!)   We sat and watched this one little b****r take the batteries up the tree and strip the coating off then dump his prize when realised it wasn't to his taste!

And don't even get me started on my run-in with the (now famous) Sussex Panther.... and I'm not joking, this put me off camping for a long time!

Two options - 1) befriend the rodent and call it mickey - 2) hit it with a medium sized mallet

there you go - job done
