Has it ever crossed your minds regarding the Monty 6 that when a thread has been posted an awful lot of people would order it. Some of you may received the tent and some didn,t. Well perhaps even the suppliers and manufacturers could not keep up with demand so therefore could not fulfill all the orders. It's not all of Blacks or Millets fault. Try looking closer to home. Anyway like Dougs email said," they won't take payment from you until despatch."
Thank you.
Ah, so it's all our own fault for ordering from a company who's website said they had the tents in stock.
It's our fault for telling our friends Blacks had a special offer on, although they were advertising it on the web themselves anyway. Surely that's what Blacks wanted wasn't it? , tent sales?
Look closer to home? yes it must be my fault, I started the thread and stated that i wished i'd kept quiet about it, because blacks let so many people down.
Do you have some affiliation with Blacks/Millets delboy41? As Stackridge says it seems strange that you chose this thread to comment on.
Anyhow, the only people to blame for the debarcle are Blacks themselves, they should never have advertised such a great bargain if they were unable to fulfil orders.
Oh sorry i've had a bottle of vodka, but I frickin' LOVE trolls!!!! What a stupid stupid person! Best laugh i've had all night!
Do you seriously believe that one thread started a mass of hundreds of people buying all the stocks up? 20 buyers from a tiny little store then maybe, but not Blacks! I suppose we were to blame for them feeding everyone different stories & false promises too?
Delboy, get a life - mange tout?

It may have been advertised by the camping company, but with the thread also advertising it, it would make more people order it. The different stories and false promises you have been given could be like chinese whispers. I used to work for a small company where i was a customer service rep, and when you tell customers one thing, you find it has changed quite a bit when you speak to that person again as they try to tell you what you told them. By the way, did the website say, it is in stock or did it say thank you for your order?
It took me 5 weeks to respond as i do travel alot.
It did say that the items were in stock and the staff in customer services told people they were in stock and as for chinese whispers, this is rubbish as people were talking to cunstomer services and then posting a message on this thread so the info wasn't being passed on.
Even in my own experiences I got about 5 different excuses as to why the stock was unavailable. Don't mean to sound rude but I don't think you are able to comment unless you had ordered a tent and been fobbed off like the majority of people on this thread!!!!
Minxie's right. Each person was told directly from blacks that the tents would be "with you by friday", then "28 days" etc... they just kept changing their stories so chinese whispers wasn't an issue at all - we got it all from the horses mouth.
Not sure of the exact wording of when the order went through, but whether they had them in stock or not, if they say 3 day delivery upon completing your order you naturally assume you'll have a tent in 3 days! The fact of the matter is, someone messed up somewhere and the website was just letting people place orders without it being linked back somewhere to stock available. If there were 10 in stock, then after 10 people placed orders online it should have then come up with out of stock, or not physically letting people place more orders. That we could cope with - what we could not cope with was Blacks constantly feeding us bull, keep changing their stories.
I'm actually wondering, are you from blacks trying to defend the company, or are you a Blacks competitor who wants to remind people of all the cr*p that went on?
