Hi, As a camping novice (three trips away in a Netto tent that costs less than the delta pegs required to keep it together) I was wondering when you say these are for guy ropes what you suggest for the groundsheet pegs?
I can see how the deltas work as the guys pull tight the peg has a large surface area to resist the pulling unlike a wire peg. But the forces on a groundsheet are/maybe different so whats the best thing. (plastic, alloy, confused?)
I have just got a Coleman Columbus 8 and am hoping to trial pitch it in a couple of weeks so I will be able to give you a answer to how many it needs and will then need to consider purchasing them. The first time we went away was to Low Wray at Ambleside and the majority of the pegs bent double there, certainly need somat better than those.

Hi Cozworth. I don't think that you need to be too concerned with groundsheet pegs as they are not generally subjected to major forces. However, I would go for a good quality steel peg (you never know the type of ground you'll be on) and inserted at an angle.
