I have the 3 Second version and it is huge inside. and to solve the problem of no dry porch I also have a 300 mm Square Tarp that I hang on the front.

Works fantastic.

We got 2 x 3 man, 3 second tents today, from Decathlon in Sheffield. My daughter was going to go for us, but she ended up babysiitting and we went through (they have late night opening, till 7:30, for anyone who is interested). What a fab shop! The staff were brilliant, chucking these tents all over the place and really friendly and happy.

The 2 second 'Air' looked fab; light colours and a vent system which would be brilliant in warmer weather. But, we need the three-man version and, as freerange says, they are apparently out of stock in the UK. So, we settled for the 3 man 3 second tents.

They are surprisingly roomy, easily big enough for three people and ideal for stopovers. They are tall enough to sit upright in (I did, on the shop floor, just after the sales assistant had hurled it to demonstrate!). At just £45, how can you go wrong? The pack size is quite big (my OH has been doing a turtle impression tonight for the kids by carrying the thing on his back and pretending to swim) but if you can accommodate that, they look great.

By the way, we also bought a Decathlon tarp (which comes in a small size pack, complete with two poles and guys etc) at the bargain price of £18 (were going to get the Outwell one, at £45, so saved a bit there).

It would have been quite an economical visit, had my OH not spied the fishing department and loaded our cart with new swag!

He also got talking to one of the French assistants who gave him details of Decathlon stores in France, so who knows what we might come home with (if we ever get packed and go, tomorrow!).

It seems their stock control isn't what it could be - the Stockport Decathlon have a stack of 3 second airs. DH is currently testing it out for comfort in the garden.

My only complaint about the store was the lack of ventilation, otherwise I thiknk my plastic could have taken a severe hammering.
