just come back from easter camping trip and noticed the air beds were damp/ wet patches{ no we did wee the bed ha ha}
Has anyone got any advice on preventing this???
we also found from keeping the cold rising from the floor through the air beds is too place a quilt on top of the air bed and sleep on top of the quilt{ warm as toast}
Yes we've just been away over Easter and for the first time we put blankets under the airbeds as well as on top. Insulating both sides seemed to cure it for us.
I think the best thing I've hear of people using under the beds are the foil backed picnic blankets but we only have the plastic backed ones which seemed to do the job for us.
We have just returned from our easter break. We had a picnic blanket and two foam camping mats underneath airbed. Then on top of airbed we had a fleece blanket,two more foam camping mats, a thick sheet and an old sleeping bag, then we had our sleeping bags, which we had a hot water bottle in each, we were warm as toast. Oh but we also had a gas and electric heater on all night

First of all, I should say that I am a person who really feels the cold and am not as young as I used to be!
Just back from our Easter break. I had a thermarest mat and a good quality sleeping bag. Oh, and I wore a hat! I was as warm as toast and had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks.
No air bed, no hot water bottle, no thick sheet, no foam mats, no old sleeping bag, no electric heater, no gas heater, no picnic blanket, no fleece blanket! It makes me feel worn out just typing that lot. LOL. MT

I find even when sleeping on air beds in a heated house the condensation occurs. You must have an insulation barrier between your airbed and you (on top of the air bed) to prevent this. Without this the wet patches will occur no matter how many blankets you have under your air bed if there are none on top you become wet with condensation.
those foil mats work well shoved under the airbed ,but have to use thos non slip mats (sort of thing you get on a roll from wilko etc fro a few quid ) too to prevent slip,, two sideways under foil mat and two on top bettween airbed and foil , This dramatically reduced condensation on airbeds , a fleecy blanket on top under sleeping bag helps too ,, still get some though , but its a lot warmer

Blimey!! my husband laughed at me when he woke up and saw that I had my coat on!
First night in our new tent and I nearly froze! I could feel the cold coming up into my back! Bought some new sleeping bags and put blanket underneath, I was as warm as toast for the rest of the trip!
Can't wait to go again!
