My friends (non camping ones) laugh when I tell them I have bought a fitted carpet for my tent.

Then they laugh even louder when told it matches the curtains   .

What's so funny?

The living space is actualy more important, especially if you have a SIG.  The idea of the carpet ( other than being a luxury item ) is to protect the groundsheet from things like tables and chairs, sharp items that may have got on your shoes or anything else that you may put on the floor.  The bedroom pods are already double skinned ( the pod itself and then the groundsheet ).  The carpet may well provide an additional bit of warmth if it went under the pods but generaly that is not the purpose of this carpet.
