i love my tent, really i do lol.the kids love it too and its great to see the freedom they have running in and out.
we went to a site recently in the middle of nowhere and the stars were so bright it was breathtaking.
people with tents seem to spend more time sitting outside as already said some people get in there caravans and stay put.
we do have electric hookup as having kids its easier but other then like i love the back to basics a tent give you.and you dont need to find a garage or big parking space to leave a tent.you can roll it up and shove it in a cupboard haha
We love our tent because it has brought us together like no other holiday. We only have each other on holiday and without television and PC's we find our own entertainment. We play games, something we don't give time to at home. I have a 13 and 6 year old and camping brings them together. Our 13 daughter is away from her dreaded hair straighteners! She moans that she will miss her PC, but when we are there she runs off to play with her younger sister. Playing cards with us and doesn't touch her mp3 or ds lite we allowed her to bring. We also give her more grown up tasks like looking after the barbecue (she is a very sensible 13 ) and she loves it. She still wouldn't want her friends to see her camping and playing, but I assure her they would be doing the same!
