Hi everyone, now that we are camping again i was wondering if anyone had ever used a leisure battery while camping for lights etc and if so are they anygood?.  Also i have heard about inverters where you can change 12v to 240v to power things like a fan heater, any comments are very welcome. Hi there,
When we visit sites without EHU I take a leisure battery and use a 300w inverter that I got from halfords to power things like mobile phone chargers, portable TV, lights etc.

Only downside is that you have to remember to charge it, and they are quite heavy!

Have used one when we used to camp for lights and we have a 12volt telly. Make sure you also buy a battery box to store it in.

And use a plug-in RCD if you are running the invertor, it can still kill you even if it`s electricity from a battery

a 2kw fan heater would run for about 2 mins from a battery with inverter
