  thanks for the laugh.  Funny how the pics look 2 different colour ways .. guess I don't like the sludge colour much as it seems gloomy. Anyway him who must be obeyed keeps moving his head from left to right and back again.. so .. it may not be an issue.  I told him it comes in a tiny bag..    thing is I have to leave something else at home!   Good job i can drive myself..  hehe

thanks for all help.  It seems utility is the way to go.  Im curious as to how many have experienced problems trying to pitch a utility tent as well as a big family tent on one pitch.  Ive read a number of threads about people stuggling to find pitches big enough for one large tent, let alone 2!  Any comments?

Many of the spread domes waste enough space between the pods to pitch a utlity tent!!

Bit close to the main tent though!

Last year was the first time I had used a kitchen tent and cannot recommend them enough now - they are so much safer (particularly when there are small children or pets moving around), stop your main tent getting steamed/greased/ spagbolled up and give you so much more room in your main tent its quite remarkable.

I wasn't sure how sturdy our Outhouse would be in bad weather but when we had the inevitable howling Cornish storm one day/night last August it wasn't bothered at all. MT
