A Tarpaulin. Traditionally an oil coated cloth to provide waterproofing. General terms now to describe waterproof coverings whether oil based or synthetic, eg groundsheets etc------------- Al

Well said Al, I was gonna say that myself. We use tarpaulins under the SIG`s of our tents to keep the SIG`s clean and dry, as with such large tents it makes it far easier to dry them out and pack them away.

B&Q do very cheap tarpaulins. Even cheaper is a decorator's sheet from a pound shop - for a pound.
