Yes & Yes!!!
Used one for years. Can be a bit hit or miss in the UK. Overcast days merely warm the water but if you get a real belting hot day then be careful because the water will be hot enough to take the skin off your back.
I find that the standard rose on the showers is useless. I put the water from mine into a cheap garden pressure sprayer.

Hi Mose,
The sun will warm up your bag, enough for one shower. Takes a couple of hours, baggsies mine first. You can put the kettle on for anyone else who needs one.------------- just love the freedom under canvas

- or buy two or more solar shower bags? They're pretty cheap if you hunt around.
While I think of it, does anyone have any idea how long these things last? I seem to have had mine for at least 7 years.

This seems like a fab idea to finally get some wild camping under my belt!
What kind of price are these solar showers?

What do you hang them on though if no trees around ? and how do you lift them when full of water as they're so heavy? Mine gets used for washing up water when at rallies.

Lay them on the car roof or on a small fold-up camping table - not sure but I haven't had a problem yet. Mrs Bonzo makes me lift them. Any means of raising the temperature of the water saves you fuel and that's got to be a plus

Put your solar shower on a sheet of tin foil if you dont have a car to put it on. A friend is best to hold the shower up in my experience. Good fun------------- just love the freedom under canvas

We use the solar showe bags to heat water but then use a battery driven submirsible pump and shower to use the hot water to shower.
Maplins sell one for £20.
As Poppi says in the absence of trees the bags are tricky to use to shower properly.------------- Piglet
