They have a tent on offer at the moment that I want to buy, but their online checkout gets the price wrong (£60 wrong, and not in my favour !!) and I cannot get any reply to emails to their sales team. Just wondering whether they would be this hard to contact if I had a problem with something I may have bought from them??
So question is, are they worth bothering with or shall I spend my hard-earned cash with someone else, and buy the tent elsewhere for an extra £35 (tent is a Vaude Ferret III at around £250 so it`s not a cheap purchase)

My son ordered a rucksack, they took the payment but after 3 weeks he still hadn't received the item. I emailed numerous times with no reply, finally managed to get a telephone number and rang, the item wasn't in stock they said but would send it as soon as it was, As we needed it quickly I cancelled the order but another 3 weeks later am still waiting for the repayment which will apparently take another 2 weeks to come through.
Further investigation on the internet showed alot of people complaining about items not being in stock and very long delivery times. I think you'd be better paying the extra elsewhere.
I've never used them, but I'd be wary if they don't even want to communicate with you when you want to give them money.
If I have problems contacting the after sales of a company, my favourite trick is to ring the sales lines numbers. They are usualy quick to answer, and will quite often transfer you direct to the after sales/customer care department etc.
A little sneaky maybe - but so is having long wait times for customers with problems!
I also had a "rucksack situation!" Ordered one and waited for 5 weeks, then cancelled the order as I bought another one online (from world of camping - it arrived next day!). The first rucksack turned up after another 3 weeks and it was difficult to get in touch with gear-zone as there is no contact except e-mail address on their website. Eventually found a phone number and they collected it the next day. I'll wait and see what happens about the refund and postage!
