It's our first trip this year.
We are going to Brokerswood next Monday for a week break.
Both of us are stressed and busy.
We have looked at the camping stuff this weekend and all seems to be in order and I have been reassured that the Duel fuel stove is not going to blow us up.
We are going with our 3 yr old and 15 month old, which will be easier than last year, and two dogs. All piled into our Vango Colorado 600 DLX.

Now I just need to relax enough to look forward to it.

What's the weather going to be like next week anyone know?

Don't worry once you have the tent up, and are sitting there with your first cuppa/beer all will be fine.

I've just been away with the kids for a few days during half term.  It's a while since I've been on my own, and the first time with the tent I took.    Was worried about being able to pitch single handed, what the weather would be like etc etc.    Even dringing down, I was thinking daft things like could I cope with the drive.

Once I had arrived, and started to pitch - my stress and daft worries disappeared - managed the tent no problem, and soon began to relax, and we had a great time.

The trick that I have found is to get as much stuff ready as long in advance as you can. We are lucky as we have a trailer and I can pretty much pack that a few days before we are going. So I would recommend that you get everything ready before the weekend - so you can have a relaxing weekend and then head off.

We stayed at Brokerswood last year and it is a nice site. I think you should have a good time.

The other thing is that the site won't be very busy as it is school time, so there will be lots of space for them to potter about in view. We went in term time - actually took our then 6 year old out of school for a day so we could go to Longleat.

There were only a couple of caravans there. Oh and on one night, an Australian couple and their 11 year old son arrived on bikes with a tent as big as a postage stamp. They were spending 13 weeks cycling round the UK and camping. Rather them than me!

The payground is great and the shop and cafe do a good breakfast, as far as I remember. You'll have a great time once you are there!
