Johm, I agree with you that it shouldn't matter how long it takes although surely it is better to have a leisurely hour or two putting the tent up than have to spend a couple of hours working like maniacs to erect a tent that is a struggle. I'm all for getting the poles in place and stopping for a beer knowing that the tent won't take much longer to peg out.
