I suffer really bad tent envy. My hubby groans when we roll up to a campsite with huge gleaming tents on. He doesn't seem to understand why i could possibly need a 9 man tent when we are a family of four MEN!!! He also finds it highly amusing that when we are camping i make a beeline for the nearest outdoor shop to check out their selection just to point out the failings of ours. We have had three and have doubled the size every time, hubby says at this rate we will be camping in a marquee in 5 years!!!!

Im terrible. I get so bored with what i have but i am like it with everything. You wouldn't believe what i have spent on Motorbikes.

I was looking at the Coleman Darwin 7 the other week. Which is a lot smaller then ours but i just liked the look of it and want one.

i frequently buy tents just to put them up in the garden, admire them for a week, occasionally sleep in them for a weekend, and then resell them on ebay. My OH thinks im quite mad. But hes getting resigned to coming home from work and finding things pitched in the garden.

Oh, and i usually make a profit too.

Oh for heaven's sake.

I have last year's Vango Colorado 600 DLX. Yep, that's right, the 2006 model <shock horror> and I bought it brand new this year for £124.95.

So, when I see this year's model out on the camp site with some marginal improvements, I won't be envious, because I know I paid half as much as its owner.

If this happens, I'll try not to feel smug....
