Hi, we have a montanna 4 and we were wondering if it is ok to put the bedroom pod in the washer on a delicate wash or wether iam being daft!!!

Can't see a problem with washing the inner pod but i would hand wash it... is it really that dirty!!

When my pods were dirty I soaked them in the bath for a couple of hours with some warm soapy water. Came out reasonably clean. If there's any parts of mud on them, then gently clean it off when it's in the bath.

not sure but our pods need washing from monty 6. noticed on this last trip they look a bit mouldy?

If they're mouldy you need to treat that before you wash as it will spread.  Think (but please check on search) that soaking in diluted milton (or equivalent) does the trick.

Kim and Aggie (those two thoroughly annoying women who make me feel guilty about my mucky house) recommend bleach in water for mouldy tents (1 part bleach to  5 of water I think).  Anyone tried that?

thanks. why has it gone mouldy. not lot just the odd small patch? we always make sure its aired and dried as soon as possible after a camping trip

i have heard(probably on here) that you can buy the moisture sachet things that you get in shoe boxes etc and that they are a good idea to put in with tent etc when storing but where do you buy them from?

We've put inner tents in the washing machine before, no probs. Just use a quick, cool cycle, and double rinse to remove all the suds, then line dry (that last bit could be a bit problematic, if the weather where you are is anything like it is here!  )
