Just cancelled weekend camp as weather looks terrible for tomorrow  so we spent all today trying to sort out  a family weekend alternative .IMPOSSIBLE! nothing compares.Only at camp can you book cheaply, eat and drink and not a shop in sight! roll on next chance in about 6 wks time.We are going whatever the weather!

Sorry about the rant and good luck to all brave souls who went for it!enjoy.

Hi malabram, don't know whether you remember but we were going to Manor farm Whitby near where you were going to be staying, we have also had to cancel because the owner called this morning to let us know the ehu field was waterlogged. They have had rain for a day and a half and it's set to continue for the next few days so you definately made the right decision. It is so annoying though because it has been sunny here in Sheffield all day and it really puts you in the mood for camping and we were all packed & ready to go. Hope you have a good weekend whatever you find to do & good luck in 6 weeks time.

if its any consolation me and family have cancelled our 2 nighter at ullswater in the lake district because of this weeks rain and tomorrows forecast .WE ARE SICK ABOUT IT-i normally work saturdays but booked fri-sat off ages ago and booked at park foot.we lost our deposit but more importantly we have lost a lovely weekend away.I thought we were pretty safe for reasonable weather at the end of june-even a few showers would have been ok but not the torrential rain this week.IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER.

Just got back from 3 nights at Graffham.

Combination of sun & showers - but unfortunately showers as we struck camp & I now have a soggy sandy bin-liner full of tent outside my back door waiting for drier weather!

Nice all the same - & v relaxing - I love the sound of rain on tent.
