ok , as i am on a bit of a roll and asking a few questions after our first trip , can any hartford owners tell me if it is worth buying the canopy ? , someone on here last week recommended we get the carpet and it ended up being a great investment ( especially with young kids ) , is the canopy a good buy and why ? , thanks for any help in advance

Hi there, yes I have the canopy and it is a great addition. It gives loads of space for eating under if the weather is not so good and we also cook under ours.
I would definitely recommend the canopy. We use ours for cooking under aswell. If the weather is bad we put a windbreak across the end of the canopy and then use it as a designated kitchen area. The "back" door of the tent then becomes the "front" door.
we purchesed a canopy last summer and its one of the best buys we have, great for cooking in ,aswell as storing the cooker instead of taking it into the tent at night, plus you can also just sit in the porch watching the world go by.this year we purchesed the footprint and the carpet, which are are both great investments for our tent, just wandering what outwell will come out with next year for us to spend our money on?
Just like to say our canopy is brilliant, as well as being the kitchen, sitting area, storage for all the wet coats, shoe etc it stops the rain blowing into the tent. We have added a few extra guys and pole clips around the door way and it is now very stable.
Yep go for the canopy before the carpet ..you can always throw down some pick-nick rugs till you decide to purchase the carpet...but yep get the canopy....
Have a look at My GalleryImages pic to see what room you get when its up ..LOADS...
