Just wondering if there might be a marketing opening for such a device. Having seen footage on the TV of caravans floating away down the river Severn (That must be terrifying!!!)and on the basis that tents are unlikely to float maybe a snorkel would be the answer? Do we also need a new type of delta peg specifically designed for submarine use? Also thinking of marketing a new type of general purpose wetsuit for year round 24 hour use!
I would think twice about using an airbed, you could wake up miles away.
Just to cheer you all up down there, the weather is still glorious up here.
At east you wouldn't drown and could just hang on and wait fro rescue. And the weather is fab here too and has been for a while now. Not like us to get the best of the weather!

just had this vision of people floating around on airbeds, like lilos on a pool....around our coast the councils have these rafts in the sea that are chained to a large cement block so when the tide comes in the rafts float but stay in one place - I'm thinking of roping our airbeds together like rafts and securing them to something very heavy with a long piece of rope - about 8-10ft should do it, atleast then we wouldn't get carried downstream, also thinking of adding distress flares to my emergency kit!
