On returning from Fort William today I stopped to get petrol and noticed that one of my trailer tyres was completely bald of tread. I put two new tyres on before going up to Fort William and am at a loss as to how it could have happened. The wear is even across the tyre except for the extreme edges on either side which still have the full tread. Tyre pressures are ok, the wheel is running freely and there doesn't appear to be any excessive play in the suspension unit or wheel bearing. Its a complete mystery to me and was hoping that someone may have an idea. Thanks in anticipation of any help offered.

generally its over inflation if the center goes and under if its the side.
does the trailer tow ok perhaps the axels slightly twisted?
brakes not coming on when the wheels heat up?
maybe someone nicked the new ones substituting their own
