just torn between 2 tents the outwell minnesota 4 and the hartford L 4 man or 6 man.Does any of these have problems with size for pitches on certain campsites.Plus is there a lot of campsites were there is pitch restrictions(size) or just a few
You will find each campsite is different. Some don't care about size, some will charge a fee for different sizes of tents and some will charge you a double pitch (saw on here where one member was going to be charged a double pitch and the pitches weren't even next to each other) and some will just flat out say no to you.
I think it would just be easier to stick with a smaller tent. We originally had the Nebraska XXL and thought we would just settle for whatever site took us but when we had a problem with it, we asked for the Vermont instead. After we thought about it, we don't want to settle and want to camp where ever we wish.
I wish I had more advice, quite a few of the members here are good on sizes and such. Rexgrant will be able to give you great pitching information
