Hi
Following on from an earlier post, what type of heaters do you all like.
I find a fan heater works ok.
I dont like gas heater as they ad to the condensation problem as they give off moisture.
Halagon heaters are ok but i find they only heat your body if your in front of them and not the air in the tent.
Quartz heaters (like halagon) i find work the best, they heat the air in the tent really well and make no noise.
On an earlier post someone said they use a small oil filled rad in the bedroom pod which sounds great, never tried one myself but sounds safe etc.

A fan heater works best for condensation and are usually the cheapest.

We used a skirting heater in the bedroom when we camped in March this year. I was looking for something safe, silent & lightweight without the bright glow of halogen for overnight. It's only 500w, but it kept the bedroom pod toasty warm. Very lightweight & slim, so it fitted at the back of the car boot easily. We use a halogen heater in the living area in the evenings.
Spill the beans about these quartz heaters then Gary Can't say that I've seen one of those.

Hi Gary
I had a look at the quartz heaters, but like all the best things, they are two expensive for us.

Hi Jean
The Quartz heaters i like look like halogen heaters but the heater bulbs are not the same. Should cost about £10.00 - £15.00 like the halogen ones.

Sunngas Parabolic heater which screws onto the top of a camping gaz bottle. Black cat heater which takes the small disposable gas cannisters. However, neither of these are safe to leave on overnight. You also need to keep the tent vented while you're using gas heaters.
However, if you really don't want to go the way of EHU, then go for either of these gas heaters just to put some heat into the tent in the evenings & first thing in the morning. Nothing worse than feeling cold when you emerge from your sleeping bag on a damp autumn morning & no heater to warm you up

We spent the weekend in our Dandy in Northumberland, we knew it was forcast to be quite nippy,so as an experiment we took oil-filled radiator amd fan heater to compare. Have got to say that overall we preferred radiator, The fan-heater is better for the instant heat, but the radiator kept the chill off and we were able to leave it on very low all night,
