Here is a general checklist, obviously you would tailor it to meet your own needs, hope that helps?

You might need a stove and some pots if you intend cooking or getting a brew on. One piece of advice I would give is to take enough socks, clean pair everyday, you might need to wash a pair everyday, saves taking loads, your feet are your transport so look after them. Waterproofs as well.Talk yourself through a day step by step i.e:- safety, tent, sleeping mat/bag,light,food,drink,clothes,rain,sun,first aid.Look at snacks and water as well as meals.Toothpaste/brush and toiletries only take what you need. If you will not be cooking, you will save a lot of weight ....Hope this helps.. regards john.b.

I would recommend a blow up bed, I remember the first time me and hubby went we boith had seperate sleeping bags and lay on roll mats and I have never been soooooooooooo cold in my entire life!!  The next day we bought a blow up bed and zipped our sleeping bags together and it was way better!!!
