Hi all here is a challenge for you all PEGWIL are going away with one of emilys friends and we normally use camp beds in the aspen however i am looking for a reasonably priced double chambered SINGLE airbed for em and her friend to ..top and tail on in one of the single bed rooms.so hopefully one of you great lot can find me a cheapish one as it is only going to get limited usage as we wont take it when its just TEAM ASPEN on there own..............also follow this link and scroll down(second set down) for some pics of us on helm crag in grassmere if you a fell wanderer.

whats that coming over the hill........IT IS A PEGWIL,IT IS A PEGWIL

A friend has just bought a double, double chambered one from costco for 40.00 which she seemed to think was cheap. Not sure if they had single ones though and I dont even know if 40.00 for a double one is cheap. Not massive help but thought if they had doubles they may have singles :)

By double chamber, do you mean the double height or high rise  type ? if so I found this site, only airbeds, seems reasonable at £27 for a single but would it fit in a single sleeping pod, don't know if the walls are sloping in the aspen, but just wondered if they're top n tail, wouldnt a normal airbed be more suitable, so they have less chance of rolling off ?

sorry if it's not the type you meant, but don't know else  what a double chamber could be.

Hi PEGWIL,

Next time your in Grasmere feel free to call in for a free coffee and a warm up. We are on the A591 near the swan. Alway's happy to meet fellow UKCS members.

We can see Helm Crag from the front of the hotel. Don't recall seeing you on the Lion though.

Cheers piggins  certanly will as for going to the top of the lion it was way to slippy but some young pup was making his way up as we came off the top.Our next foray into your beautiful land is next sunday(weather permitting)to knock off pike o blisco.

as for the airbed it needs to be double hieght and single bed as it will have the two girls on and should just fit into a single room on the aspy as it has very straight walls and 3 definitve rooms and the airbed is to fit in a 95cm wide single room

thanks for the help so far i know we can get there
