Hi

I've got a campus breckenridge deluxe which is 8mx8m. I email or telephone the sites in advance, explain about the size and its always been fine. I don't however go to the all singing all dancing sites so you may have more of a problem there.

I tend to use sites that are just a field with a toilet block and no site owner has ever said no.

I also own a smaller tent for shorter stays or if I really needed to be on a site that couldn't take the larger tent.

Hi,

We have not long bought an Outwell Hartford XL, and after reading a thread on here I became concerned about the size of out tent.  We didn't think anything of it when looking round the tents, and it didn't look particulary big compared to others, but it is 7.5m x 7.7m.  However after saying all that,  we have been to a site a week ago and they had no problems with our tent and a site we are going to in August said it will be no problem despite them saying they only accomodate 7 ft square.

I will always enquire first now, but what do people expect whe you take children and they refuse to sleep in the same bedrooms (one boy and one girl)!! Some of these campsites make good money from campers yet they can be too restrictive at times.

I wouldn't swap my tent now though, at the end of the day it's the campsites loss if we can't go.

----------------

Caro x

Hi, myLichfield is 8meters x 6 meters and never had any problems, just make sure the site you are going to is aware of overall size, remember they are in business to sell pitches not turn away custom.
