Right I have spoken to hubby who has said that he has been looking into the tent without me knowing as suprise!  We were never particularly bothered abut the extras but they would be on a wish list as and when time and pennies could allow!  Now because we were planning on buying other stuff to top up, our camping shop has given us a price of around the 450 mark because of all the sleeping bags etc I want this year!  So that is around the price we are prepared to pay bearing in my mind we will collect (hubbys job can take him that way!). I was planning on buying local so we can take it back easily if there are problems.  Obvioulsy it would be cash so email me once you have spoken to wife and we can go from there!

Hi there, outwell and the shop you bought it from will also guarantee the new tent its basic statuary rights.

also before you go selling it i read on here that the problem that outwell only discovered after was something to do with manufacturers and needles hence outwell exchanging my guess is the second tent will be fine.

outwell tents are truly the best option go away and see just put your foot down and say NO.

Chris, forgive me, I can see that you and your wife have been through a v.stressful time with this tent but the sentence above did make me smile. I know this is a messageboard about tents but that is the campest thing I've read on here in ages     Hope everything works out well for you. MT
