Hi Angela, lots of us camp alone, as you will find. Mostly, seeing a lone camper there are always offers of help or a mug of tea. . The forum gives lots of help & tips and is a good resource for all those questions you never thought to ask. I have only now began making full use of it & it has solved a lot of niggling problems.

Life is not a rehearsal--It's the real thing !
Thanks mari, I enjoy camping alone mainly due to the fact that I like the solitude of walking by myself. When I have gone with people before, they dont want to move from the site which drives me crazy.
I have a 2 birth pop up tent which I love, but this makes people think there is room for them. So I am now thinking of investing in a small tunnel tent just for ME
hi again angela40, Seems your not so new anymore. I see you've got the swing of things. Like us all you'll become addicted ha ha he he. the more you use this site the better you get to no everyone, and you get to make some fab friends. I have. And quite literally be lost without the everyones great advise. And as for camping alone wow weldone!!! I always admire independence. But im sure from experiance you've probably met some great people on your travels. You remind me of a woman we met once, It was last year and we were staying at pixleyend caravan park, trumpet, ledbury, herefordshire. Her name was lezley and she was in her late 40s she was disabled through a car crash and had severe arthritus and was unable to walk without the aid of a stick. She was a true wonder woman ,truely amazing. this woman went camping all by herself pitched her tent, and done everything else by herself. Thats hard enough with 2 people let alone 1. We were away in a big crowd and she became our friend. She was a right laugh fitted in great with us!!! so much so that she got so drunk she could'nt get to her tent , so she stayed in our spare bedroom in our tent on a luxury triple layer air bed . the next day wwhen she woke up she was so funny she didnt no where she was lol. she so so apologetic We told her not to be daft and we were laughing our heads off as she did'nt usually drink . The moral of my story is it dont matter if your away on your own or with a crowd fellow campers are the best sort have a great time and enjoy yourself. take care and happy camping.
