Hope someone can give us some advice. Having spent many years camping with our parents, we have just bought a montana 6 for our first camping trip with our own children.

The tent has a sewn in ground sheet but we were wondering how strong these are. We have director's style chairs with metal legs and wondered if we needed to protect the groundsheet with anything before we sat on them inside the tent?

Don't know if we are worrying unnecessarily but would be grateful for any advice.

You can now buy camping carpets but we always used foam sleeping mats.  They are usually available in pound shops costing ... £1.

They keep your feet nice and warm as well. lol

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone for their help and advice. Think we will go for the footprint and some rugs for now. Might invest in a carpet when I have tought our muddy labrador to wipe his feet!
