Can polyester tents be repaired anywhere?  We have several bad tears along windows and were guy ropes have been torn out this weekend.  Is it the end of our new tent or can we save it?  Any help appreciated?

A gutted vermont owner.

For guy rope fixings try replacing with cling on's, we've done this on our daytent having ripped out a guy point and it works fine.

have you contacted the place where you bought your tent from? Our brand new tent tore in the strong winds last weekend so we called into where we had purchased it,we didn't have the receipt with us so they checked their database and gave us a complete new flysheet and repaired two broken poles.

For rips or tears in the flysheet we use 'Tenacious Tape'. This sticks really well and doesnt leak, and once stuck is barley visible.

Another vote for Camperlands, its only round the corner from you. Our Hartford split a seam where the plastic hooks are for clipping onto the poles. Got it back & did 2 trips before I spotted where it had been done.
