Just got back from a few days in pembrokeshire. We pitched on monday evening and the wind was beyond belief!!! I was clinging on to the tent for dear life while H tried to get it pitched and I really thought I was going to do a Mary Poppins!
The delta pegs were fantastic though. We'd only bought enough for the guys, but once we got those in, it was solid as a rock :)
We had to triple peg the rest and hope for the best.
As it happened, there was barely a breath of wind the rest of the time we were there!
I went for the evo coolbox in the end and it performed well.
The towsure sofa was fabulous, although ours seems to have a slow puncture :(
Their customer service seems very good though, it's being exchanged on tuesday.
A great little holiday :)

We had some gale force winds on IoW when we went in April and I swear it was the Delta pegs that stabilised the tent.  We saw some others gurning into some very funny shapes but a combination of Monty 6 and Delta pegs kept us upright and solid.

Camped near Pickering over Bank Holiday, extreamly windy.Hartford canopy and even windbreak, a Gelert breeze blocker never moved an inch, thanks to Delta pegs.

Can I just ask if you are using the Nylon or Steel variety of Delta? And if the Nylon type how do they stand up to being hammered into potentially hard soil etc?

Yes I used nylon one`s,it was the first time I had used them and the ground was quite soft, but they seem sturdy enough.

We had nylon ones and we did break one. There was a stone in the ground, but it was one of the first ones we put in, and H thinks it was partly his fault.
